10/31/16 - Happy October 31st! 

Objective: Understand and identify types of characters in a novel and use literary “clues” to determine their traits in order to begin creating complex characters with notable traits for their own novels.

Bellwork: Write down the objective. Who is your favorite literary character? Why? What traits does that character have to make them your favorite?

Agenda

1. Make sure you have created either a NaNoWriMo screen name. Make sure to place this screen name on a blog post. 

2. Visit and download to your google drive or your school folder, The NaNoWriMo Workbook. Complete (begin to complete) the Character Questionnaire beginning on page 14. Remember we will be working on this throughout the month of November but you need to start somewhere. Sometimes knowing/creating all you can about your characters helps. 

Closure: Write a short 100 word reflection HERE on what you discovered/learned today about your characters and/or your story.

Final Draft of Personal Statement Essay

October 24th

OBJECTIVE: Using feedback from your fellow students, create a final draft of your personal statement essay.

Bellwork: Write down the objective. How much do you need to complete today in order to finish your final draft of your Personal Statement Essay?

Assignment: 

1.    Review the Partner Workshop Worksheet. Make any changes to your rough draft and begin typing your final draft. IT MUST BE TYPED! 12 point font either Times New Roman or Tahoma or Courier New.
2. Once you have finished typing, please either drop box it to my folder, or drop box it on SYNERGY StudentVUE or Print it. You need to turn in: Your HoY answers, ALL 3 rough drafts, your Peer Editing Worksheet, and a FINAL Draft. 

3. Write a 5 sentence reflection on what you learned during this unit. Please post to your blog and complete the closure.

   2nd Period: You need to post this on your blog. If you have not created a blog yet please see me ASAP!!
